Lately AMC has been running commercials for a Memorial Day movie marathon of war movies. There are lots of clips from the movies they'll show with people in military uniforms, the American flag waving, etc., and the name of the marathon is "All American Weekend."

There's only one problem--thoughout the commercial they're playing God Save the Queen. Apparently the AMC advertising people don't know that we've had our own national anthem for quite a while now.

I went ahead and purchased "Tinderbox". I sometimes buy products from small companies that I'm not sure I'll use, just because they have an interesting idea that I want to see continued. Tinderbox definitely falls into this category--I'm not sure yet what I'll do with it, but I really like the idea.

Incidentally, "Groove" is a product I'd like to support--but without a Mac version, there's not way it can be of any use to me. That's unfortunate, because the Symantec Mac group would really like an alternative to Lotus Notes.

Quote of the day:

Jesus Christ could walk into the office and personally tell GeeDub that Iraq has no WMDs, and the Bush administration's response would be "you cannot expect us to take the word of some guy from Palestine".
