From Al:
Turns out my friend and colleague (retired from Toyota telematics) personally knows the folks that run the DaimlerChrysler telematics research lab in Palo Alto on Page Mill Rd.  He asked me to provide a summary of our theme and potential panelists, and would then personally call up the top 2 guys at the lab to let them know what we're working on.  He suggested that the #2 guy at the lab would be a very good speaker.. a real car guy.

My friend also knows the CEO of a location-based solutions provider out of Oakland called Kivera.  He's happy to make that contact as well if we need.  They allow for location based services to any device, telematics system, or your phone for example.  This isn't our focus for now, but we can keep it in mind.  We should at least let them know about our talk.    -- Al
