'I have been terminated'
 UW will announce coach Rick Neuheisel's firing at 10 this morning
University of Washington football coach Rick Neuheisel confirmed to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer late last night that he had been fired and that he has yet to reach a settlement for the five years remaining on his contract.
"I have been terminated," a clearly distraught Neuheisel said. "I fought to the end."...more [Seattle PI]
We can only hope that this is really the end of it. Based on Slick Ricks past I doubt it. I am sure that more crap will come out, and he will fight the termination. My only words for Rick, is go coach a small college, show you can play by the rules, and let us move on.
As I said before, this is not the first of his mistakes. All of them have involved drifting into the grey between the black and white of the rules. His bad judgments have damaged the institution that hired him, and the mercy killing needed to happen. The really scary part is that he just doesn't get it, in his world all he needed was a excuse.
