The revolution will be bootstrapped, homegrown and grassrooted
Matt Kingston 's Audioblogging system is an example of what is needed to move audioblogging forward. It is not so much what he built but how he built it. In the open Matt bootstrapped a system and is actively educating everyone with details on how he did it.
In general, there are many components needed and missing right now that are key for moving audioblogging beyond the gee wiz stage and toward the real moblogging stuff. Backend and more frontend enabling systems like Matt's and Audblog are critical at this stage to sustain and add the value needed to attract key early adopters.
Education on how these new backend and frontend systems operate, work and are designed to intercommunicate and interface with other audioblogging backend and/or frontend systems is key.
Closed audioblogging systems will never work!! Users will want and demand that their audio messages have the potential to flow between all systems. Users will use more than one audioblogging system to accomplish their goals. To make a go at this we must educate each other and help each other get the audio messages flowing from one system to the other.
Open audioblogging system development and "open interface audioblogging system communications" must be the norm at this stage of audioblogging!
Welcome and great work Matt!!
