Allowed Aloud

What a great idea!  Not to say that this Internet event is elementary, this exercise reminds me of elementary school reading, where the teacher orchestrated the reading of a chapter by many students.  The purpose of the reading exercise in elementary school is to enhance the student's reading skills where today's Internet reading event could be used to distribute both the the work of making the chapter readings and the audio file bandwidth download needs.  It also adds a variety of voices to the chapter readings.

Reading over the Internet what is now only available in text is where the early adopter audiobloggers could start to add value right now.

Allowed Aloud. AKMA has had the best idea of the significant interval: Since Larry Lessig allows anyone to record the audio of his book, Free Culture, for non-commercial purposes, why don't a bunch of us each record a chapter? Within a couple of days — before Amazon could get me my copy — almost all of it's been done. You can get the list of links on AKMA's site. Too cool.... [Joho the Blog]
