A Gig A Day, No Problem!
The main problem below is that a large majority of the mp3 files that they downloaded will never be listened to at all. What a waste of bandwidth, hard drive space and most importantly time!
With the PODCast Browser (and witnessed in my PODCasts) you interact live with the RSS feed's enclosure, which means you preview the media instantly before you make the decision to download the whole file. It just makes sense. You only make the investment to the media that you really want to listen to.
Podstar -> kinrowan: "If any of you all are crazy enough to be thinking about syndicating Dave Winer's RSS feed of the last 100 podcasts (like me), be forewarned. Last night it pulled down 736 Mb of data to my hard drive by itself (not to mention the additional 200Mb + from my other feeds)."
