Eric Rice: A great-grandfather to podcasting waxes on podcast *listening*

Hey Eric,  It's not to late!! We are not just "Podcast consumers (subscribers)" or ear drums" out here listening.  In my opinion we the present listeners are starting to be treated like the old broadcast consumers and it's the way it is starting to look from the outside.

It's really simple!  The medium needs to start being a balanced two-way audio conversation with the listeners in the audience pulling out a mic and getting into the conversation as much as the present casters and developers without all the Podcasting Puff!  I think we had enough of Podcasting Puff in the last eight months to last a lifetime, don't you?

This is why I opened the mic the other day and created the "Think Tank".  Podcasting needs a fresh look right now from some of it's listeners that can add their listening perspective to the conversation. And I don't mean with text blog comments.  Their own podcasts, weblogs, etc.    I encourage all other pure podcast listeners to join in.

This morning's song:

We're Not Gonna Take It - by the Sisters (Twisted Sisters)

This could definitely be the anthem for Podcast listeners and all non- mainstream/independent podcasters.

"we've Got The Right To Choose And
there Ain't No Way We'll Lose It
this Is Our Life, This Is Our Song
we'll Fight The Powers That Be Just
don't Pick Our Destiny 'cause
you Don't Know Us, You Don't Belong
"

"oh You're So Condescending
your Gall Is Never Ending
we Don't Want Nothin', Not A Thing From You
your Life Is Trite And Jaded
boring And Confiscated
if That's Your Best, Your Best Won't Do
"
