I am continually impressed by Randy Alcorn's clear thinking. This is another great example of his clear thinking and his clear writing as he addresses one of those great questions that frequent all bible studies. As a boon, this essay is written in the form of a small group exercise. I am looking forward to using it at ours.

Starbucks Bible Study I like to stop at Starbucks Coffee on my way to work to do my morning bible study. I was thrilled when a new one opened up in our neighborhood this last Fall. Mid-way through my study yesterday I looked up and glanced around store. I was kind of surprised to see that most of the people sitting down were also engaged in reading their bibles. OK, there were only two other people studying their bibles, out of four people sitting around. Three out of four people in a really small Starbucks seemed kind of significant to me. I am going to assume that there is some kind of conference at nearby Willow Creek Church!

I heard about Colin Powell's recent remarks tonight while driving home, listening to the Focus On The Family program. I do not want to rush into any judgement of Mr. Powell, but this does bear looking into. Does he speak for President Bush?
