Wohoo! My iMac was pausing for like 3 minutes every 30 seconds, so I decided to reinstall the system (say yeah for OS 9, where you can Drag-install things).

That didn't work that well, so I created a _very_ basic extension set. Ok, so certain things don't work yet. But it's soo much faster then it's been in a very long time.

Apple to move to Intel? Analyst says yes [MacCentral]

Hmmm.. I don't know if this would be such a good idea. I think that if Apple used Intel chips, it would be much easier to get out of the hardware market (or, restart the Clone program).

And I'm not 100% convinced that Apple getting out of the hardware buisness is such a good idea. I'm also not 100% convinced that Intel chips are better -- they have astronomical clock rates, yes.. but the G4 is a very efficent chip. If AIM could just get the G5s out, or the G4s around 1.5Ghz... or even 2Ghz...
