  2. Summary of something for another class (done!)
  3. Various bits of contracting i'm supposed to pay attention to (later!)
  4. Complete a script so I can finish my bit of the new Michael project (soo close! but wierd logic(?) problems)

Time till I leave for vacation: 8 days

Ok, this hard-drive clanking is starting to annoy me. It just spins up every 30 seconds or so.

Then it seems to go right back to sleep, then spins up again.

I had this problem before... but, the funny thing is, the iMac doesn't stop when it's spinning up, and copies work just fine.

Hmm... maybe I'll just turn my machine off. Anybody got better ideas? email me!

Update: Yeah! Got the spinning and accessing down to acecptable levels . Something's still not perfect, but at least it only does it when I access the disk. That's much better then accessing and spinning it up "randomly"

Clear-Cutting the Radio Forest. "Clear Channel Communications is changing the face of radio broadcasting, buying stations left and right, firing local DJs and replacing original programming with bland, formatted material. Nowhere is that more apparent than in San Diego. First of a three-part report" by Randy Dotinga. [Wired News]

Yes, let's kill Internet Radio, then kill all the variety left in Real World Radio.

'Cause big corporations (and the government) know what you really want to listen to.
