My Thoughts On iTunes For Windows
iTunes for Windows looks great. All the major features made it over - sharing playlists, the Music Store, iPod integration, etc.

There's also a bit of Microsoft FUD up on their website which sounded to me like someone was kinda running scared.

He does, however, have a point. It would be nice the iPod played Windows Media files. I suspect Apple would sell a few more iPods that way. Looking quickly at the other services, WMA seems to be a pretty popular choice. Of course, I can't find the article I was looking at the other day, of course (anybody got a link to a good comparison article?).

I think AAC is the right choice for the Music Store, being labeled as a Mostly Open Standard. If the Music Store used Windows Media formatted music, I would be afraid that one vendor (Microsoft) would change something and break all my music, suddenly.

I really really like the ability to sync On-The-Go Playlists. Makes the iPod much less of a read only device.
