The Weather in My Head Cloudy, overcast, and gloomy.
It's been that way for several months now ~ a pronounced dip inside an overall unstable weather system that has persisted over the last couple of years. My own personal El Niño.
In the last few days, however, the clouds have piled up and gotten darker, and I can sense a storm coming. The barometer is falling rapidly. A front is moving in, and the air has that unnatural stillness that says high winds are next. Tie everything down. Batten the hatches. (And since we're in DC here, buy milk and toilet paper ~ the stock response to every impending disaster.)
I'm going to have to make a change of some sort, and we all know that change is difficult, even painful. I'm going to have to give some things up. I'm going to have to choose between less-than-ideal choices.
The fairy godmother is not going to show up with a magic wand. (Where are the fairy godmothers when you could really use them?) And no amount of thinking things through and problem-solving is going to undo the knot at the heart of the matter. Time for the sword: cut it through and move on.
There's definitely some nasty weather coming in.
