Flying.  So here, I am, sitting on Southwest Airlines flight 510 from Providence, RI to Baltimore, MD for a three day meeting where we'll primarily be discussing where we're headed in 2002 and what we need to do to get there.  Departing at 8:30am required me to be up at 4:30am, on the road by 5:30am, at the airport by 6:00am, and 90 minutes later made it through security to the gate, to checkin again, and then wait in line to get on the plane.  Now I've had three cups of coffee, we're about to descent into Baltimore, and I need to pee.

As one of my peers and I were discussing this morning, as he was messing with the security line and checkin in Manchester, NH, why do we continually fly in on the morning of an afternoon meeting instead of just flying in the day before.

I guess I keep forgetting that when making travel arrangements.  Shit, I could still be in bed if I had flown in the night before!

I do love Baltimore, though.  Hope to catch some live music tonight at The Horse You Rode In On

Cape Air just has not had good luck lately.  They're a highly successful local business, I certainly hope this doesn't affect them too badly.  Passenger lands plane in dark after pilot passes out. ''She just took over. It was like something out of one of those airplane movies. You always think, 'What if I had to take over the controls?' She did." [Adam Curry: CurryDotCom]

Wil Wheaton, are you listening?  I love your weblog, but I think you'd find Radio Userland more useful that the Moveable Type setup that you have going currently.  Get a laptop and work offline ;)  02/11/02 00:00 CET. Um, so like, what I wanted to say was, like, you know..  I'm blonde?  Gimme a break.  As much as I enjoy his music, this is about as absurd as having Bono speak at Harvard's Commencement last year.  What's Britney going to educate us on, her virginity?  Goodmorning from Amsterdam, where the world is just a bit wackier than last week as the news reaches us that Britney Spears will speak at MIT. President Charles M. Vest commented, "I am very pleased that Britney will visit and share her thoughts with us. I think I hear Debbie Gibson's stomach turning.... [Adam Curry: CurryDotCom]
