Oh, I like Radio's Events Log, though. 3:31:14 PM

Twenty seconds + Fifteen seconds. Same story. I conclude that doubling the RAM allocation made no difference.
I'm beginning to suspect the obvious culprit. My old Mac is just too slow to run Radio nicely. It's a shame, because even though it's a 200 MHz machine, it's enormous RAM means that running graphics programs is usually nice and fast. The only one thing that really bogs down are the browsers, which I use only to download Mac software, or check how a page looks on the Mac.
In other words, Radio is the first application on my Mac that makes me think, "Oh, I guess I need a new and faster machine." Suffice it to say, that's not a point in Radio's favor, since otherwise I wouldn't need or want a new Mac
My wife, however, is hankering for a new iMac, now that they have the flat panels. Maybe Radio would have to run on that machine.

Another plug for Radio's preferences. Those pages seem to work fast, with an average response of ten seconds or less. I can deal with that. Radio's Preferences, as I've said before, are well-designed.
Now Upstreaming is off while I post this. Let's time my doubled-RAM post now... 3:24:00 PM

Twenty seconds + Fifteen seconds for that post. That's with Upstreaming turned on. After posting this, I'm going to turn Upstreaming off to see what happens with this higher RAM allocation. I suspect it won't make much of a difference. Maybe I will be surprised. 3:20:48 PM

Oy veh. The post took about thirty seconds to get "302 Found", followed by twenty seconds to bring this page up. Yikes. Doubling the RAM allocation, I conclude, made little or no difference. 3:18:56 PM

What happens when you increase Radio's RAM allocation on the Mac?. I just tried this, doubling the Preferred Size of Radio's memory to 31062 from 15031. Bringing up this page took about thirty seconds from my Linux box, with Radio running alone the Mac, with Upstreaming turned on. Hmmm. Now let's see what happens when I post this. 3:16:47 PM
