Hike Your Own Hike

In March, I posted a message to the PCT-L (The Pacific Crest Trail mailing List), and ended with the common PCT-L greeting "HYOH". Someone else asked me what that stood for; I replied with the following:

    Hope You Only Have
    Happy Years Out Here
    Hiking Yon Outstanding Hills,
    Healing Yesterday's Old Hurts.
    Hawks, Yes!  Osprey, Heron
    Hiding, yet over head,
    Heeding your obvious hurry:
    Hungry, You'll Overeat Happily.
Actually, -- I just made up the stuff above.   HYOH means Hike Your Own Hike; it's the perfect response to folks who give you advice assuming that what worked for them will work for you.
