Evil Genius Chronicles. I'm really enjoying the podcast of Dave Slusher's Evil Genius Chronicles. They are so easy going. I cannot say I learn much, but they are fun. Thanks Dave! 3:35:41 PM |
I Join the VOIP Ranks. Looking over my phone bills last weekend I got thoroughly disgusted. AT&T, our long distance provider, has been soaking us for anywhere between $.26 and $.39 per minute. This was at their recommendation (as opposed to a flat rate service plan). We make few long distance calls, but are paying about $25 per month. Then I started looking into SBC. That bill seems to average $50 per month with a third of it charged to "local toll". It looks like this is any call more than 15 miles away, but not quite long distance. That would be my sister-in-law. I'm mad and I'm not going to take it any more.
I heard Leo Laporte talking about Vonage during last week's podcast of his show. For $25 a month I can get unlimited calling in the U.S. and Canada. I decided to sign up and cancel both AT&T Long Distance and SBC's local toll calling services. That's $40 per month right there. I received the LinkSys phone adapter (a router with two phone ports) from Vonage last night and hooked it up immediately. So far it is working great. 2:04:14 PM |
Congratulations Boston! The Red Sox are in the series (and the Yankees are not). Almost hard to say which makes me happier. Nike aired this sweet ad in response. 9:23:36 AM |
