2004 Presidential Election

Dennis Kucinich is in Denver raising dough and partying down with supporters of his candidacy, according to the Denver Post [September 27, 2003, "Presidential candidate Kucinich in Denver to tout peace platform"]. Kucinich said he would create a Cabinet-level Department of Peace, fight global warming, allow gay unions, end the death penalty, overhaul the health care system, and punish polluters and corporate swindlers. The former mayor of Cleveland, who's also a vegan, got a warm but sparse reception at the Auraria campus, where about 150 supporters turned out. Of the 10 Democrats seeking the nomination, Kucinich is the only one so far who wants to bring home troops from Iraq immediately and cut military spending." Colorado may be irrelevant in Presidential politics but the money candidates can raise here isn't. Heh
