2004 Presidential Election

Vice President Cheney was in Denver yesterday helping Bob Beauprez raise dough for his run to keep the 7th Congressional seat. John Kerry's alleged claim about foreign leaders and their presidential preferences was the buzz of the day, according to the Denver Post [March 17, 2004, "V.P. winds up crowd with disputed pitch"].

Taegan Goddard is reporting the the race for the Presidency will likely come down to 18 contested states. Alas, Colorado is not listed, so we can expect to be ignored (again) during the campaign. I bet both candidates show up to raise dough though.

Update: How about some cool election applications to take you into the wee hours instead of drinking green beer. Thanks to Taegan Goddard for the link.

Update: Here's a link to President Bush's speech about Iraq one year ago today. Thanks to Josh Marshall for the link.

Update: Here's the coverage of Vice President Cheney's visit to Denver on Monday from the Rocky Mountain News [March 17, 2004, "A heapin' helpin' of Cheney"].
