Political Wire: "A new USA Today/Gallup poll shows Sen. Barack Obama leading Sen. John McCain nationally among registered voters, 47% to 44%. Key findings: 'Economic angst is broad. Two-thirds of those with annual incomes of $30,000 or less say they are worse off financially than they were a year ago, but so do nearly half of those in the highest income group, those making $75,000 and more. Two-thirds of those who are 50 to 64 years old say their finances have worsened.'"
Ed Cone: Ed Cone is pointing to Dave Carr who maintains that Barack Obama's differentiator in the election cycle is his use of Internet technologies.
The Moderate Voice: "Although it has been somewhat lost in the shuffle of the Democratic primary contest we are having a number of primaries and contests in California. Somewhat ironically, we used to have our Presidential voting in June but the powers that be decided to move things to February so we would have more of an impact. Had we kept things the way it used to be, California would be deciding the Democratic nominee today. Ah well, best laid plans and such."
