Colorado Water

The winter snowpack is heading downhill fast in the Dolores River Basin, according to the Cortez Journal. From the article, "As of Thursday, the sites of Lizard Head Pass, Lone Cone, El Diente Peak and Scotch Creek combined indicate a moisture level of 58 percent of average, according to the National Weather Service. At the beginning of March, the average was approximately 105 percent. The statewide snowpack measured just 65 percent of average Thursday, well below the 94 percent of average recorded one year ago, according to the Natural Resources Conservation Service."
