Colorado Water

"The committee that oversees Aurora's water supply will recommend the City Council declare a severe drought level, which would limit lawn watering to twice a week and raise water rates," according to the Rocky Mountain News [April 9, 2004, "Aurora prepares for drought"]. From the article, "If, as advised, the council declares a Stage 2 drought level, customers would be limited to watering their lawns two days per week, based on an odd-even address schedule. No lawn watering would be allowed between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. any day. Vegetable gardens, trees, shrubs and annuals may be hand-watered or watered with a drip or soaker irrigation system on any day under the suggested restrictions."
