Billings Gazette: "State officials are considering building new reservoirs or expanding existing reservoirs in the Green River Basin to ensure that water will be available for future use. Mike Besson, director of the Wyoming Water Development Commission, said the commission hired consultants to report on the possibility of placing dams above Fontenelle Reservoir on the Green River."
One use would be to satisfy downstream calls. There is always the prospect that Lake Powell may not fill again.
