The Cherry Creek News: "Whither Colorado's drought?"
"'It looks like parts of Colorado are fairly wet, while the Front Range and Eastern plains are seeing a pretty dry fall,' says Brian Fuchs, who works compiling the National Drought Monitor. 'The Southwest part of Colorado over the last thirty to ninety days has started to deteriorate (into drought).' Fuchs stresses that while most of Colorado is not in drought, the severe drought of three and four years ago means'that it doesn't take a whole lot to go back.'"
