Holtzman or Beauprez for Governor? Mark Holtzman has raised nearly twice as much dough as Bob Beauprez, according to the Denver Post [July 15, 2005, "Holtzman tops Beauprez's fundraising"]. From the article, "Marc Holtzman, a relative newcomer to Colorado politics, has raised nearly twice as much as Congressman Bob Beauprez in their bids for next year's Republican gubernatorial nomination. The former investment banker, who stepped down as the University of Denver's president last month, reported $802,600 in campaign contributions as of the end of June.
