Putting On A Happy Morning Face On Moving Day 3 A defining Saturday. Aren't they all. Just completed some early picture filing, had no disk space available and I'm going to need all I can get in a few days. Complete, and it's a nice feeling to get that done...you know...all those filing kind-of tasks.Moving day 1 was moving day. Moving day 2 was move-in day (when the popcorn was scaped, the carpet pulled, and we inhabited the downstairs). Today is Moving Day 3, the day we move it ALL in. Last night we got a jump on today's festivities by clearing out some space in the garage, moving boxes into the house that previously not considered for unpacking. The 3 large containers loaded with our excess life (cleared for the old house sale) are being delivered to Casa Chaos today. We will officially be in the house, in my estimation. Pops O is already in the house helping and Bro O will be coming to lend a back today. We're also starting the kitchen demolition today with cabinet and counter top removal activities. My plan, for better or worse, is to basically re-install the entire kitchen, minus appliances, into the garage. This should give us counter space, cabinets, and sink (for future beer brewing) functionality in the garage. It sounds like a pretty good re-use of the kitchen to me, so it's moving forward. First step is to build a little platform in the garage to put the corner group on. Then dry wall. Handy Tom will be directing most of this effort. I must go snap pictures now to document all of today's 'before' shots.

Soccer this morning also, with the Frog Jumpers, led by coaches Sean and Randy, looking to put the next group of pip-squeaks in their baby cribs with the rest of the micro-league. |
