The Democratic Convention is over and guess what? John Kerry and John Edwards have won the party's nomination! (Applause, whistling and of course balloons!) Ok, you may remember I am not a big fan of senator Kerry, but 1) he's not Bush and 2) ... he's not Bush. So I am, of course, voting for him and if he gives us any trouble, we'll just fix it in '08. But it's imperative to remove the man who has been mismanaging our country's resources (namely us) for the last 3 and a half years.
Bloggers were present at this years convention, and one of them was none other than Dave Winer, who sez Willie Nelson was there. Willie wrote the late, great Patsy Cline's greatest hit. The torch song Crazy is about a one sided love, in which the lonely lover knows they are being wronged, but they continue to love anyway.
Here then is my very first remix: Crazy.
PS: This is also my very first audio file, so let me know if it gives you any problems. Thanks!
Do not call - do not schmall
Someone - they wouldn't say who they were - woke me up this morning with an 8:30 sales call. Then, they wouldn't release my line for half an hour. -Pigs! No wait, that's inflammitory to swine.
Soooo.... I *69'd their number and heard the sound of an autodialer. After a couple of seconds, I said "Hello". A young lady said "Hello, Erik Greene?" I said "No, who is this? You woke me up at 8:30 this morning."
"Well, hang up." she said.
"No," I countered, "you hang up." She responded by telling me that she wouldn't hang up, that she could keep me on the line indefinately. Ok, I hung up. But I had 'em now.
I redialed and got their autodialer, and they always came on when I made some sort of vocal noise. Then they'd hang up and autodial again. Heh heh. I put the 'of the hook' phone in front of my computer speaker, played Rob Manuel's Let's Fist Again in a continous loop from his website.
I'm only sorry they didn't get the graphics.
