In the last post I admitted that I did not have an iPod. I have remedied that with the object shown here. It the randomizing type, and "only" cost a hundred bucks. Plus, it's shown (near) actual size! Right now it's playing Alice by Tom Waits (followed by Ice Cube's Keep It Gangster.)
How's that for random?
I've got to say that this device, as cool as it is, has a serious design flaw. It uses three LED annunciators: red, green and amber. These colors, when seen in the absence of the others as reference are indistinguishable to dichromats. I use a piece of red plastic to view them through to tell what color they are showing. Eventually I will learn how bright each color is.
