" A Washington district court this week denied a request for a preliminary injunction by Mailblocks, an antispam software company that claims rival Spam Arrest is violating its patented technology.
The decision, filed Monday in the U.S. district court in Seattle, could be a setback to Mailblocks in enforcing rights to two patents for challenge-response technology, or techniques for differentiating between e-mail sent by humans and that sent by automated junk-mailers. " [News.com]
Mailblock's entire business strategy seems to be based on enforcing the patents they purchased in order to eliminate competition for their undistinguished product.
