For those unfamiliar with Harvard, it is a medium-size Massachusetts school located across the Charles River from Boston University. It's the place that gave America Timothy Leary, Henry Kissinger and the Unabomber.

Hey! The Unabomber went to Harvard? Well, even if he did his undergrad work there his PhD is from the place he really belongs to: The University of Michigan... M go Blue!. Actually, we shared advisors. Allen Shields was his advisor and mine. He died before I finished my thesis, but I was lucky to get Carls Pearcy after that. Carl Pearcy moved before I could finish, but he was my advisor anyway. He needed a Co-Chair for the Committee, so Prof. Ramanujan stepped in... Yes, that is why I was known as The Man with a Hundred Advisors for a while...
