A report on my new Powerbook G4. It is a wonderful machine, everything works perfectly, it's very fast and feels very solid. The only complaint I have is with the battery. With the increased power and the reduced battery (it has less Kw than the previous TiBook Battery) it last a little over two hours vs. three for my TiBook (with a new battery). It's not terrible, but I always expect more...

'Leak-proof' email launched. Microsoft says its latest Office software allows e-mails to "self-destruct" after a set time - and prevents copies being sent to other users. [BBC News | News Front Page | UK Edition]
Can anyone explain how this works? I'm willing to bet this is either an Exchange only feature or an Outlook only feature, similar to the "Recall message" that produces such laughs in Unix circles. That is, the recipient must use Outlook (and, maybe, Exchange) in order for your message to disappear or be restricted. Or someone thinks they are going to block copy & paste? On my Mac? False security can be worse than no security at all...
