Is Apple Thinking About Mac TV?. Why did Steve Jobs spend so much time talking about HDTV at last week[base ']s Apple announcement? By By JOHN MARKOFF. [NYT > Technology]
If it where thinking about it... Why use an extra cable for a TV connection? It includes the DVI-to-VGA cable but not the DVI-S-video or DVA-RCA-Video cable, that cost 20$ extra. Clearly, Apple is not thinking in those directions. Is the year of HD because the editing programs will allow you to work in HD... That's all. But a Mac mini with an EyeTV is the best set up box you can have... and I will have one soon.  Of course, I'll still need the Sony Flat planel TV or something like it.
