The August enigma by Brunilde Sansò. [The Devil's Excrement]
While admitting that stories are more interesting when the heroes are your friends and you even had some small part in the plot. This is a great account of what happened a year ago. Good writing fills you with emotion and this one certainly did. There was some pride, but there was a lot of sadness. Mostly because I think that what we have in Venezuela is just the incompetent version of what the future will bring elsewhere. Yes, there it is done in a more subtle way, but I believe the technology that was supposed to liberate us has reduce our liberties instead. I am not ready to go into the woods and join my fellow academic brother, but I am less confident that just knowing and having more information will be enough to improve ones life.
