The situation in Venezuela is still tense. Yesterday there were some rumors of military upheaval and protests outside the capital city. The newly appointed minister of defense said that everything was under control... Of course, he also said Chavez had resigned, so his credibility is, well, shut to pieces.
The Assembly is enquiring into the events of April, but most people here find these sessions a joke that won't amount to anything.
Finally, Chavez has change ministers from one position to another, showing how lonely he is at power. He either can't trust other people or, more likely, nobody is accepting to participate in a dying government. At least, that is the analysis common people are making of his changes.
By the way, the University professors are on strike, the haven't been paid in two months.
