He spoke of Simón Bolívar. He was wise, sharp, and charming. Only one fault. He had brought his economic advisor, an old academic, of few words. I left with two strong impressions. First, do not underestimate Chávez. Second, he is surrounded by advisors who haven't had an original idea since they became leftist half a century ago. Be aware of the apparition of T-Shirts with Chávez's image on Colleges and Universities. But don't hold your breath expecting a better life for venezuelans, whether they are rich or poor.
