The opposition today demonstrated the error of its ways. Instead of looking at its natural leaders they first follow the military and later the new violent circles. These are against the government. It's true that they are a direct consequence of the violent pro-government circles, but if they act as the government supporters, why should we prefer them over the chavistas? Same difference...

This opposition group do not understand how stupid measure affect support for its cause. On a positive note, all the mayors of Caracas (2 pro-government, 5 opposition) are meeting with the defense and interior ministers with an OAS mediator... That could lead to something interesting that I could support.

Something must be happening. I know that the main freeways in Caracas have been, at least partially, blocked by opposition groups. The TV stations have gone into mutism. My wife and kid are in on of the blocked freeways...

I find it curious that there can be technology users that are pro Chavez. Don't they realize that in Cuba there are no Macs? Don't they see that internet isn't readably available in China? How can you like something and help the people that want to destroy the source of it?

A, more permanent, stream of Radio Libertad can be found here. [Thanks to Sebastian]
Update: I've been told that this is just a Chatroom not a feed to Radio Libertad.

Some people have asked me why, if I don't agree with what is going on at Plaza Altamira did I put the signal of Radio Liberty on the air. Here is a short list of my reasons:
- I think information ought to be free. People should listen directly what is going on and make their own minds.
- I'm unsure whether it helps or hurts the cause of Plaza Altamira.
- It was a small techno challenge and I'm a geek, after all.
General Medina called for a national strike starting today and said the bureaucratic delays delays by the workers union is unacceptable. That is how a military mind thinks. Democratic decision making is just bureaucratic delays. This guy is just like Chavez.
The signal may be back sometime later. I don't think I'll make the work of getting a permanent signal on. Somebody else will have to do that.
