Support Services Market

Gartner, 11/12/04:  Infrastructure Support Services Growth Rates to Climb After 2005

Spending for infrastructure support services is projected to reach nearly $139 billion in 2005. Consistent with Gartner Dataquest's July forecast of IT services, worldwide growth rates for infrastructure support services declined from 2002 through 2004, but they will begin a steady climb starting in 2006. Infrastructure support services include hardware maintenance and support services and software support services.

Prediction: By 2015, collective intelligence breakthroughs will drive a 10 percent productivity increase.

Cyberattacks against software flaws will double in speed by 2006.
