Visual Studio 2005 here we change again

Well I suppose this is bound to happen quite frequently at the current point of the dev cycle. Dino points out how ADO.NET  2.0 is set to be relieved of some of the features shown in Whidbey. Bummer as far as batch updates and asynchronous connections goes. Right on as far as the odd implementation of paging in a reader was concerned. Here is more.

Dine also mentions what seemed to be the paging approach taken by ADO.NET 2.0 - yuck !

White House 'tried to ban film'. Michael Moore accuses the White House of trying to stop the making and release of his new film. [BBC News | News Front Page | UK Edition]

Moore is one of the most self-serving , self-promoting horses assess I have ever seen in my life.

How's your health?

A 27 year old guy at my job is complaining of wrist pains. Another one, 33 years old, has neck problems and I myself had a nasty run-in with Sciatica. In my case it was caused by 2 years of 10 hour days in front of the computer with bad posture, plus not enough exercise and being overweight by a good 20 - 25 Ibs. Who would have thought that being so productive can be such hell on your health and body. Adding a sheet of 1/2 in plywood under my side of the mattress to firm it up has helped some.

The New Yorker

The roots of the Abu Ghraib prison scandal lie not in the criminal inclinations of a few Army reservists but in a decision, approved last year by Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld.

[Someone a few days ago said that Bush will make a high rnaking civilian - not Rumsfeld - the scape-goat of this entire mess. Wanna bet that it'll be Cambone??]
