No Viruses on Mac
Writing in the Wall Street Journal, Walt Mossberg observes, After growing easier to use for several years, Windows PCs have taken a giant step backward because they are so insecure. Windows is riddled with security flaws, and new ones turn up regularly. It is increasingly susceptible to all kinds of viruses, malicious Trojan horse programs and spyware. As a result, Windows users have been forced to spend more of their time and money supporting their computers
But for consumers and small businesses, theres a simple way out of this endless morass: Buy an Apple Macintosh computer. There are no viruses on the Macintoshs excellent two-year-old operating system, called OS X. And the Mac is a terrific computer — as good as, or better than, Windows for the typical computing tasks important to mainstream users. [Oct 22] [Apple Hot News]

SubEthaEdit 1.1.4
About SubEthaEdit SubEthaEdit is a collaborative distributed text editor, combining the simplicity of TextEdit and the power of Rendezvous. It allows to share documents on a local network (with Rendezvous) or on the internet. Every participating user can type simultaneously and see what others are typing. You can even follow others users to see what they are up to.
The idea of collaborative editing is being researched for years, with notable results. But now, for the first time it has been implemented in a way you actually want to use. Using Mac OS X 10.2s unique Rendezvous feature you dont have to edit long lists of preferences anymore, configuring servers and clients. Its as easy as editing a local file, just click the share button and type away. [Mac OS X Hot Downloads]

Jon Udell: Apple's Knowledge Navigator revisited. During my session at BloggerCon I referred to Apple's famous Knowledge Navigator concept video. I first saw that video in 1988.
