India drama reveals a true Gandhi

Adam Mynott is dazed by an extraordinary few days as Sonia Gandhi wins the election but refuses to become prime minister. [BBC News | World | UK Edition] 'I ponder on how a woman almost single-handedly led her party to victory in the world's largest democracy, saying all along that she had no desire to be prime minister.

She apparently came within a whisker of taking the job, and then decided not to.

The real reasons for that decision will probably only be known when Sonia Gandhi writes her autobiography.

Mac OS X Security Update

A Mac OS X update addresses a theoretical vulnerability in the Help Viewer application that could have been exposed when browsing the web. The update is available automatically to all users through Apple’s free Software Update service. [May 21] [Apple Hot News]

Apple just released the patches that fix the security exploit discovered this last week that allows a Web page to execute an AppleScript of any kind on your system if it's running Mac OS X 10.2 or 10.3.
