It looks like Michael Moore may have started something. Moore's controversial Fahrenheit 9/11 takes U.S. President George W. Bush to task for the invasion of Iraq. It has been attacked for being unfair, but has also been a huge commercial success, becoming the top-grossing documentary of all time with more than $100 million US in receipts.

Sonic chief clarifies Toast Titanium plans
Earlier this week Roxio announced plans to sell its software business unit to Sonic Solutions in a deal valued at US$80 million. Roxio plans to rename itself Napster and will focus solely on its digital music business. The news has left some Mac users wondering about the future of Roxio's Mac products -- the company makes Toast 6 Titanium CD and DVD authoring software, as well as an accompanying audio product called Jam. Apple releases Compressor Update 1.2.1
Apple has released Compressor Update 1.2.1, an improvement to Compressor, the video compression and media encoding software Apple includes with its pro video products Final Cut Pro, Motion and DVD Studio Pro. The updated version of Compressor includes improved application stability and better performance in the Preview window. If you're using a version prior to 1.2, several other enhancements have also been made -- check the Web site for details. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.2 or later, G4/350MHz or faster, 350MB RAM, 26MB of free hard disk space, Compressor 1.0 or later and QuickTime 6.5. [MacCentral]
