Hawks' home playoff games to be televised [ChicagoSports.com] // Holy smoke ! Dollar Bill is going to let us see the Blackhawks ? Wow, this will be the kiss of death. There is no way this is going to happen and if he says he's going to do this odds are the Hawks will tank soon.

From MelodicRock.com:
YES, IT'S ANOTHER SUPERGROUP UPDATE: From Sammy Hagar's Official website: "Slash wasn't able to make it to the studio on short notice. We took that opportunity with the four of us Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, Neal Schon & Dean Castronovo and recorded the two songs, Vertigo and Peeping Through A Hole. The working name of the band is Planet Us. We are hoping that Slash can join us down the road because we won't be doing anything serious until the fall since Sammy and the Waborita's and Journey will be on tour this summer. *Dates to be announced.* It is possible that Planet Us will be part of the Meltdown in Cabo this October." I might add that the songs have now been sent to Slash for consideration and that there is at least one other name under consideration for the group.
// Planet US, woo hoo !!!!

- "terrific teeth and a ringing bell of a voice"
- "has female vocaldom's most agitated legion fo detractors."
- "She's the Hillary Clinton of pop"
- "I would rather be chained to a cheetah and dragged through a street of knives than listen to another Alanis Morissette song. What I feel for her isn't simple hate, it is an all-encompassing repulsion not unlike what you might feel if you woke up to discover a four-pound cockroach using your toothbrush"
- "Given Canadian law -- which criminalizes sex between anyone under 18 and a person in a relationship of trust or authority"
- "At a time when Britney and her sound-alikes are selling a fraudulent idea of every-hair-in-place perfection, there's something refreshing about a young pop star who is willing to show us her mussed, unbalanced core."
'Under Rug Swept': Morissette Extends Her Decrying Jag [WashingtonPost] // Alanis returns releasing her latest yesterday. Hints are coming slowly but surely with each record exposing which man abused her awhile back causing all the male hating in her tunes. Thought the description of the Canadien law was interesting too. Not just someone under age but further needing to be an authority like figure, this is interesting. Hmmmmm.......all the nonsense aside, this is her last chance to recapture some of the glory of Jagged Little Pill . I don't know about you but I'm waiting before plunking down my 15 bucks.

// So I signed up with scmp.com for a free China weekly email newsletter which I believe I came across via Google Headlines. I figured a friend of mine is there teaching, I thought I'd broaden my horizons (imagine that) and learn a little more about some place that I don't think very highly of. Started out looking very AOL scummy trying to sell me premium services while signing up for the newsletter but figured that was fair enough but I avoided all the $ opportunities and away we go right ?
Well two weeks later I give up and sent them packing as you can't read anything as its all "premium" information. What is this dot com world coming too ? I see this as rampant incompetence (new category here ?) or maybe they think I'm the incompetent who is going to just fork over $ for this. They don't really think I'm going to pay them a premium to read news about China do they ? I could see if this was the Chicago Tribune (we'll talk about their rampant incompetence another day) because it would interest me being local information but to think that they are going to suck money out of my pocket for the South China Morning Post is ridiculous.
