Jauron gets new deal [ ChicagoSports.com ]  //  Jerry Angelo was digging himself quite a hole here.  Hopefully when the details surface,  we won't find that Mr. Angelo took some of the basic responsibilities of a coach which have been rumored for the last week or so.  If he did (and the rumors were rampant and ugly), the Bears managment will succeed in both signing him and looking like buffoons.  Usually, they corner the market only on the latter. Now, go get Drew Bledsoe.

washingtonpost.com: Russians Challenge Skating Results  //  Dream on my Russian friends, look at the tape, this kid was the best, even I could see this.  The much better question is how could the Russian and Danish judges place Sarah fourth ? Apparently they were trying desperately to protect their skater from the fact that Sarah was the best skater on this evening.

news.com: DirecTV fine-tunes TiVo deal  //  why have these not caught on ?  these DVRs are the slickest thing since sliced bread.  You don't have one ? you don't know what you are missing.  CDs didn't catch on quickly either and now most kids don't even know what a record is.

News.com: Walmart.com ditches the OS in new PCs  //  Hmmm....how come Walmart is the first one to think of this ?  or to try this ?  Heaven only knows how Microsoft will try to get their profit out of these machines and could this open a door for the PC companies ?   Is the timing here interesting ? Does Bill have the kahonas to try to tell Walmart they can't sell PCs with Windoze on them because they want to sell them without ?  and do it while there are still 9 states with their heads screwed on right ?  All just things which make you go hmmmmm.....
