Wireless networking at the office! Finally, I'm unshackled from my desk and presently typing this while relaxing on the couch.

Friday, Avery showed me a bunch of wireless PCI cards that he said we get for like $20US. The question is, can we use them to turn our appliance products into access points? Well, with the Host AP linux driver for Prism2 cards, the answer is yes.

Yesterday I was at work for a bit, then went to the almost mythical Miami with Andrew, Mark and Usha who dropped by the office at about 5. After a couple pitchers of Boreale (Quebec microbrew -- super popular here but only available in Quebec) we took the Metro to an Indian restaurant way way way out in the suburbs. (Actually it just seemed that way because I usually never stray far from downtown -- if I can't walk to a place in 30 minutes, to me that's FAR)

Do the India/Nepal trekkers remember eating Dal in those metal indented trays at the school near Pokhara? Well that's what we had and I like it again, after only a five year recovery period. Rice and curry -- now there's a food I could depend on for lunch everyday if only it were available close to the office.

After dinner we drank beer and watched Army of Darkness at Mark and Usha's, which is simultaneously the funniest and stupidest movie ever. My girlfriend must be so weird because this is her and her Elmira friends' favorite movie. Questions raised during the movie: How did a lowly S-MART employee (sent back in time to fight an army of undead raised by his evil twin self) learn to fight like that? build a steam powered car? fashion for himself a terminator-like prosthetic hand?
