A Computerworld article has technical details on the flash memory file system glitch that nearly caused the lost of the Spirit Mars Exploration Rover last month. Essentially the rover ran out of RAM memory when it tried to load the directory of its flash memory system because the files on the flash memory system were not deleted fast enough. 9:09:33 PM
