David Simmons posts on the S# newsgroup that S#.AOS V4 is publicly available. S#, previously known as SmallScript, is a dynamic programming language which is a superset of Smalltalk. It adds, amongst other things, multi-method dispatch and mixins.

The 'AOS' version runs on David's own bytecode compiled system. There is also a .NET version which is in development. Having used the AOS version a bit I can say it is incredibly quick. David knows his stuff about dynamic language VM's.

From his post, the 4.1.X alpha is of the AOS version is available from ftp://ftp.smallscript.org/partners/SSharp/

CVS access to the build, tools, libs and samples are available. All the details are in his post. Weekly discussions are held on irc://irc.community.smallscript.org/community on Fridays at 4PM EST.

More S# information available at the S# web site or my SmallScript site.
