Outwardly Normal 2: "Adding geographical information to your web site in machine readable form seems like a great idea. Take a look at the GeoURL ICBM Address Server [The Shifted Librarian]"
Very cool. I just added the meta tags and pinged them. After they index this site, I'll be able to add a link for finding other sites near me. Go add yours (Jenny's post has the instructions, too).
ticketstubs now has an RSS feed... (thanks Matt)
Dave Winer: "The thing I like about Lessig is that he has original ideas and he puts his money where his mouth is. In this post he offers a solution to spam, and says if it doesn't work he'll resign his job."
I believe I would make a perfect spammer bounty hunter - let me at 'em. Also, I really enjoyed the post above that one ("walt's creativity"). "Try doing a cartoon take-off of one of Disney, Inc.'s latest films with an opening that copies the music, and see how far your Walt Empire gets."
>> Brand new year, brand new site. Today's pick, that is. So. I'm scanning the news in my aggregator early this morning and look what I found. I jump out to Matt's blog to read his entry about the new site. He's talking about an interview he read of one of his idols, Matt Groening, the guy who created the Simpsons. "...when asked about any regrets he had, he mentioned not delivering on ideas, not completing things he started, and generally leaving good ideas aside until he completely forgot them." Well, this idea, this concept for a website, has been in Matt's head for the "two and a half years [he] wasted thinking and talking about the site instead of building it." I love the concept and only wish I had saved the stub from that night I saw one of my idols. Matt's right about how events shape us and how wonderful it is to recall those experiences. He also nailed it when he "figured [he] wasn't alone in saving bits from [his] past." Those "bits" are the stubs that serve as reminders and sources of inspiration. They just might inspire us to write about those memorable experiences, to share with others. Damn, Matt! You've done it again. Thank you for another reminder about the real power of the web... ...and I am inspired. I hope 2003 becomes the best year of your life. Thanks for reading.

No TV, an hour's chat with my brothers on the phone, some wholesome food, and later a hot chocolate. Just before midnight I lit a candle and passed midnight sitting in meditation. Then to bed, and a very good night's sleep. ¶ Bliss."
Adam Curry: "Happy New Year from Amsterdam!"
Bill Simoni: "Happy New Year. ¶ Me, I'm dragging my tired self to bed. It's likely I'll be woken up in the middle of the night by a screaming baby."
