Unbelievable! This will end up in the same trashcan as BT's failed attempt to "own" hyperlinks.

In response to my "hype hurts" post on Saturday, Bill Simoni asks "Is it hype?" and goes on to say about NewzCrawler, "All I can say is it meets my needs and works well."
To be clear, I was not saying that NewzCrawler is a bad product, nor was I saying that what it claims it does was hype. I was simply pointing out that saying NewzCrawler "is the only solution available that combines news from different sources" appeared to me to be a false statement.
After reading Bill's additional comments and looking at the NewzCrawler main page again (admittedly more closely this time), I realize I was mistaken. They are using "different sources" to mean RSS feeds plus other formats plus Usenet newsgroups plus "Web pages." My aggregator clearly "combines news from different sources" but I use the word "source" differently. So. Is it hype? No, it's not. Thanks Bill.
