"What kind of peace do I mean? What kind of peace do we seek? Not a Pax Americana enforced on the world by American weapons of war. Not the peace of the grave or the security of the slave. I am talking about genuine peace, the kind of peace that makes life on earth worth living, the kind that enables men and nations to grow and to hope and to build a better life for their children - not merely peace for Americans but peace for all men and women - not merely peace in our time but peace for all time." -- JFK

And just who do you thing is Osama bin Forgotten's candidate for Prez? You think Osama Bin Forgotten wants someone who'll make peace in Israel, and increase the prosperity of the Arab/Muslim population? No. Osama bin Forgotten wants some idiot who will bomb and attack and occupy and promote state terrorism. That gets the masses on Osama bin Forgotten's side. That's the main goal. So far, so good. He just has to hope Republicans can take control of Congress.

You don't really believe Bush thinks Saddam tried to kill his dad, do you? Who said that? Kuwait's secret police. What evidence did they give the United States? None. Remember the babies in incubators story... the sobbing Kuwaiti girl -- who turned out to be the ambassador's daughter or something. It was a fraud. What's that saying? "Fool me once...."

But it plays nice to the population that Bush is mad at Saddam because Saddam tried to kill his dad. Poppy's "hates" Saddam, too. Saddam's certainly no cute little puppy.

Let's face it, they hate Saddam because he made peace with Iran, and then wouldn't cut them a good enough deal on oil and arms.

Ted Rall says it all:

"The 2000 Florida dispute resulted in Republicans--historically the great champions of states' rights--obtaining the help of the federal court system to subvert the states' constitutionally-protected control of elections. An appeal of the Florida Supreme Court's decision, no matter how flawed that decision may have been, violated the Constitution. The fact that Rehnquist et al.agreed to hear Bush v. Gore is what makes Bush's regime illegal. Had the court installed Gore rather than Bush, Gore would be the usurper. Recounts, hanging chads, choosing Bush over Gore -- those details are mere footnotes to a brazenly extrajurisdictional judicial coup d'état."
