"What kind of peace do I mean? What kind of peace do we seek? Not a Pax Americana enforced on the world by American weapons of war. Not the peace of the grave or the security of the slave. I am talking about genuine peace, the kind of peace that makes life on earth worth living, the kind that enables men and nations to grow and to hope and to build a better life for their children - not merely peace for Americans but peace for all men and women - not merely peace in our time but peace for all time." -- JFK

"To suggest that my criticism of the President put the troops in danger is absurd. I had been unaware, that baseball is a Republican sport.... You invoke patriotism and use words like freedom in an attempt to intimidate and bully. In doing so, you dishonor the words patriotism and freedom and dishonor the men and women who have fought wars to keep this nation a place where one can freely express their opinion without fear of reprisal or punishment." --Tim Robbins

The real story of "Saving Private Jessica". Do you think the movie will show the scene where the Iraqis try to take Lynch to the Americans, but the Americans shoot at her ambulance?

Is there a reason to videotape a rescue, other than for propaganda?

Did US troops encourage looting? This article says they did. Is it plausible?

It's clear that the US military is highly involved with the war's political propaganda. Consider the Asian-American GI who just happened to be given the flag flying at the Pentagon on infamous 9/11 to drape over a statue of Saddam before an American tank pulled it down in a cheap propaganda photo-op.

You could pretend that a lot of the false information given to the press was merely a case of wrong "intelligence", but evidence of manufactured propaganda means you would be a chump to think the brave generals weren't purposefully lying for political purposes. ("Fool me once, shame on you.... Don't be fooled again.")
