iCal Calling iTunes! 2.0

- This AppleScript applet lets you use iCal to schedule iTunes playlists to play. Changes: Now able to stop a playlist playing by setting an event's "to" time. Intercepts an AppleScript timeout error that could occur during sleep. Removes "Tentative" event status if a previously not-found playlist is found.

- ASTest is a unit testing framework for AppleScript. It provides an easy way to organize and automate your testing processes, providing a pre-built base into which you can slot your custom testing code with a minimum of effort.

Microsoft Internet Explorer X 5.2.2

- Provides all of the latest security and performance enhancements for Internet Explorer 5 for Mac OS X, including the security vulnerability described in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS02-050. It also provides support for the new Quart text smoothing feature provided in Mac OS X version 10.1.5 and later, so text on your screen is easier to read. Internet Explorer 5.1.6 for Mac OS 8.1 to 9.x is also available to address the same security issues.

FutureBASIC Release 7

- MacInTouch reports that FutureBASIC Release 7, a BASIC language IDE and compiler, adds access to AppleScript routines and to Unix. The feature page says that the new AppleScript commands allow users to load and run an existing script, store a script in a file, create a script on the fly right in your FutureBASIC code, and more.
